ECLECTCA Issue 05
Eclectca is an art based collective and magazine that allows local artists to showcase their work, as well as themselves. The main focus of this space is to prioritize the artist and the capabilities, just as much as their artwork. In doing so, artists around Orlando has had the opportunity to have their work showcased amongst other creatives within the magazine, social media, and live events.

This issue's theme is Anomaly, a deviation from the norm and is difficult to classify. For this issue, I had the amazing opportunity to be the Set Design Director. Alongside the Set Designers that I delegated, we collaborated with the team to conceptualize, produced props and models, and worked with sellers to obtain items at a reasonable price.

Take everything that you think you know about alternate being, and completely forget about it. Pulling inspiration from the infamous Area 51 and Wes Anderson's "Asteroid City", Area 05 reimagines the mystic. The set shows three otherworldly beings dressed in retro-futuristic attire with the attractiveness and almost nostalgic feeling of the 1950's science fiction.

Embracing the oddness of human beings, this theme focuses on how extremely different we are, both mentally and physically. This is an appreciation to those who don't try to fit in with the norm.

The possibilities are truly endless. Parallel portrays two opposites traveling through this plane, meeting each other for the first time. Pulling inspiration from the film "Everything Everywhere All At Once", we utilized prisms, mirrors, and contrasting colors at the shoot in order to depict how interconnected these two models are.
